To be fair I was expecting to put on. I had been fairly good. I still had 2 slim fast shakes a day....
We went to London as my friend (who is a size 6, huff!) had got tickets to BBC Radio 2's festival in a day in Hyde Park. I like listening to Radio 2 in parts, Chris Evans in the mornings and Simon Mayo's confessions on the drive home. The festival was good. I can't say I liked all the music but when you are catering for 50,000 people who listen to all the different music and genres Radio 2 play you are probably not going to like everything. I liked that I was able to sing along to a fair amount, even though most acts were from before my time!
So what did I eat on my weekend away?
Saturday I had a shake for breakfast, then a flat white coffee while I was waiting for my friend. I had another shake for lunch while I was on the train (I even turned down a Cadbury Wispa!) and then we treated ourselves to chips after we navigated to our hotel. It was the easy option! My friend bough some ice-cream on the way back but I again turned it down.
Sunday I had a shake for breakfast and then one in the evening. For lunch I bought from Sainsbury's a picnic of pesto pasta with mozzarella and a packet of salt and vinegar McCoys. I then treated myself to some churros and a latte in the venue!
Monday I had some white toast with butter before we boarded our train home, and while waiting for the train I bought some Millie cookies for my boyfriend. The lady who served me was good at her job and convinced me to purchase two more than I wanted!! I had a shake when I got back home and one in the evening. However, when I got back those cookies were calling me. I had one, I had another and a final one. They were good! I had to put the ones I bought for my other half out of view so I wouldn't eat them before he got home! I should have not got myself any really.
I know I could have done better but I could have also not bothered with the slim fast at all and just ate all the bad things I fancied. With that I think I haven't done too badly and I will keep going and see if I can get at least 1lb off this week...
