Monday night I was on the verge of giving up on my diet. That night hunger hit me and one slice of banana loaf led to another, followed by a chocolate teacake. I was just about to rummage for something else when I remembered some advice my friend had been given when she was on a shake diet - if you still feel hungry have another shake - so I did, and I couldn't finish it.
I know I went over on my calories on Monday but I realised while I was drinking that last shake that I was actually becoming full. I may have actually just needed a drink.
Tuesday morning I felt much more myself and I propelled myself back into the diet. Slim Fast for breakfast and tea, and a healthy wrap for lunch. For my snacks I had a muller light Greek yogurt, a whitworths raisin and chocolate shot, and a chocolate teacake - more chocolate oops. At least I had just 3 snacks and only the teacake was slightly over the 100 cals...! I also hit FitSteps with full enthusiasm, hopefully burning off some of those additional calories from Monday!
Today has gone well (apart from a slight twinge in my left side, over stretched last night maybe?!). I had shakes for breakfast and lunch and pasta with homemade tomato sauce for tea. Snacks have been cherries (bargain 25p reduced from £2!!) and another chocolate teacake (I know, I know!).
So one snack left and I am watching The Great British Bake Off. Bad combination! Especially as it is dessert week... Oh what will that snack be...! *remember your goal, remember your goal, remember your goal...*
