So we have decided to bite the bullet and book a holiday for next May (2015).
This isn't like us. Normally we book a couple of months before so would be booking in April to go in June.
The reason for our advanced booking is that:
A) we haven't been on a proper summer holiday for a couple of years
B) we never seem to have the money
and personally for me
C) I need to lose a lot of weight before I can brave a t-shirt and shorts, let alone a swimming costume!
So we have booked and paid a small deposit for a holiday to Orlando!
I have never been but my partner has twice. I'm really excited about going and I have researched loads already! Park ticket prices, what veggie foods I can eat, other things to do than theme parks etc.
However I do need to lose weight, and a lot of it. I am at my heaviest ever: 15st 12lb. And at 5'2" that is appalling. About 7 years ago I went to Slimming World and I weighed 13st, I was shocked at that! I managed to lose 1.5st there but I struggled with the classes. When I was suffering with gallstones I managed to lose the same amount of weight by following the Rosemary Conley diet & fitness method. I did this in 1 and a half months but mostly because I couldn't eat rather than willpower alone. But now since I had my gallbladder removed in 2009 I have been able to eat anything I liked and I have.
So now with a holiday booked and a shocking photo of myself taken last Sunday I have started the Slim Fast diet.
I have tried to do the Slim Fast diet before but I didn't really do it properly. This time however I am determined!
